We are sharing a bus with the 3 Cache Valley schools. They will be loading at Logan High at 5:00 am Thursday morning. Since the Hillcrest parking lot will be filling up, we will get picked up at the Sportsman's Warehouse parking lot at 165 W. 7200 S. in Midvale. The bus should be arriving there around 6:30 - 6:45 for the trip to California.
Don't forget that you will need food while we are there. Make sure you have enough food/money to get you back to SLC. You may want to bring some food for race day for either before your race or after.
Make sure you get the insurance/waiver forms filled out and back to Coach Stucki before we go.
We will be staying at West Covina Hampton Inn, about 10 minutes from the course.
Also, the race is asking for a $5 dollar deposit for the timing chips which can be refunded immediately after the race at the chip collection table. The deposit will be paid when picking up bibs on Friday. They may let me write a check to cover the deposit, we will find out for sure on Friday.
The weather forecast has 0% chance of precipitation with lows in the 50s and highs in the upper 60s to upper 70s for the four days. Race day temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s for our race times.
Remember that we will be going for runs on Thursday through Saturday so you will want to wear running gear on those days. Wet wipes are useful for cleaning up after runs when you won't have a chance to shower. (Ragnar trick)
Don't forget you will need money and/or food to get you through our trip back on Sunday. The hotel will have continental breakfast which will take care of us Friday and Sunday and maybe Saturday depending on what you can eat before you race. You will probably will want some quality snacks for the bus both ways and for after your race on Saturday.
I still need the parent permission/insurance form from a few of you. I can collect those at Sportsman's Warehouse in the morning.
